Talent Acquisition Manager

Location: New York, New York

About the Role

We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Manager. This person will be responsible for recruiting high quality Striders to keep up with demand.

The Talent Acquisition Manager will:

  • Lead our team of Talent Acquisition Partners to source, engage, interview, and hire the best technical candidates in the country (developers, devops engineers, product managers).
  • Play a critical role in Systeck’s success. As a professional services business, we cannot grow without hiring. You’ll play a key role in our growth.
  • Ensure that every candidate has a positive and engaging experience. This means candidates we decide not to move forward with will leave having a greater passion for Systeck because of your ability to build relationships with them.
  • Own the candidate experience from start to finish, make sure it runs smoothly and candidates and interviewers have all the information they need at every step.
  • Work with our executives, consultants and technical recruiters to:
    • Determine who to advance through our process and how to evaluate candidates at each step along the way.
    • Run continual experiments on improving our hiring process
    • Roll up your sleeves and be a do’er as well as a leader
  • Take a data based, yet innovative approach to improving our recruiting process –
    • Where are the bottlenecks?
    • How can we decrease the time of getting the candidate through each stage?
    • How can we improve the quality of the candidates reaching the later stages of the pipeline?
    • What activities have the best ROI? What should we start doing that we aren’t doing now? What’s the best use of our time?
    • Understand how and when to perform exit interviews for candidates who decline offers

About You

  • You embody our five core values: Honesty, Humility, Respect, Willingness to help others, and Learning from failure.
  • You have a serious (read: 7+ year) track record of sourcing and hiring top talent for a variety of technical roles
  • You rarely lose candidates mid-process and when you do, you can explain why
  • Candidates walk away from phone screens with you excited about the role and eager for next steps
  • You have a desire to learn and get more involved in people ops/human resources
  • You’re data driven – you’re obsessed with charts that go up and to the right.
  • When your charts don’t go up and to the right, you test different solutions until they do.
  • You are highly coachable and constantly seek feedback on how you can improve.
  • This should go without saying, but you’re an excellent communicator and team player, and pride yourself on your ability to earn trust from your coworkers.

You will set yourself apart from the pack if…

  • You have experience leading a talent acquisition team at a start-up or enterprise.
  • Understand the competitive landscape facing a software development consulting company in NYC, and can verbalize the value that a job at Systeck brings to our candidates that distinguishes us from the rest.
  • Get excited about tech/software development
  • You’re hyper-organized and can demonstrate how you will level up the talent acquisition function in this area.
  • You’re an expert at modern recruiting and business tools (Greenhouse, LinkedIn, G-Suite, etc)
  • You’re a natural networker – cultivating a wide circle of relationships comes naturally to you and is enjoyable for you.
  • You’re a builder: writing the playbook excites you more than running the plays.(And you can tell us about how you’ve done this in the past)

What we have to offer

  • Serious career growth in the form of an opportunity to materially impact the growth of a bootstrapped tech company
  • Top-of-market culture – we have a 4.9 star rating on glassdoor
  • Competitive compensation and benefits
  • Work / life balance

  • Kitchen stocked with snacks, coffee, beer/wine
